It’s not often that you can find an old adobe within the Town of Taos that is newly renovated to this level! Two-foot thick adobe walls from the last century have been preserved in a cocoon of new interior plaster, exterior stucco and rebuilt new roof. Radiant floor heat has been installed under the saltillo tile floors for the optimal in modern comfort and warmth. Original beams are throughout the home, especially adding a sense of grandeur to the living room. Cozy up in front of the mantel and efficient woodstove insert in the winter. Graceful arches lead to the kitchen and dining room. The redesigned kitchen features cashmere cream granite counter tops and high quality appliances including induction cook top and stove in a large island open to the dining room. Locally handcrafted cabinets compliment the true adobe feel; views from the kitchen sink are pastoral, with the Rio Pueblo and mountain beyond. The primary bedroom with private bath is oversized and flooded with natural light. Nichos and locally hand crafted closets transport you to Old Taos. Two guest bedrooms, full laundry room and guest bathroom complete the main residence. The bedroom off of the living room would be a great home office. Outside, a flagstone patio leads to a detached 279 sq ft studio/workshop and separate 90 sq ft garden shed. Landscaping and final touches are being completed next couple of weeks, so keep an eye out for updated photos to come!
